Oakville Community Living

This year, it has been a privilege to support Oakville Community Living (OCL), an organization making an incredible impact in our community. OCL provides vital support services to over 300 children, youth, and adults living with developmental disabilities, helping them grow their skills, independence, and participation in meaningful community life.

In May, I was honoured to sponsor their Downtown Oakville Food Truck Friday—an energetic event hosted in Town Square in partnership with Sheridan College during Community Living Month. Food Truck Friday brought together OCL participants, families, and community members for an afternoon filled with games, music, delicious treats, and vibrant connections. This annual gathering champions awareness, celebrates diversity, and strengthens inclusion for everyone in Oakville.

OCL’s mission extends throughout the year, including their 39th Annual Golf Tournament, where my donation helped support fundraising efforts that raised $85,000 toward essential programs beyond what government funding provides. From supported living and employment programs to social, recreational, and volunteer opportunities, OCL empowers those they serve to build friendships, connect to services, and enjoy full participation and dignity in our vibrant community.

Supporting Oakville Community Living is truly an investment in a more caring and inclusive town. To learn how you can get involved, visit their website at oakcl.org
